My Original Works

My 2007 National Novel Writing Month piece can be found here.

The majority of the beginning chapters are more PG-13 to R, but later chapters I would definitely qualify as NC-17. I will give warnings on those specific chapters. Perhaps later I will go back and edit out the adult-content sections for those who do not desire to read them but still like the story...

Home at last from England!

Back home and rested after 10 days in England, and boy was the jet lag showing on Thursday night. Around 8 pm I went to the gym with my parents, and even though I just sat in the lobby and read, I could feel myself drooping considerably as it was, oh, about 2 am in England, and my body was definitely still running on English-time, not regular time. :D Oh well, I 'm gradually getting better, though the afternoon/evenings are the worst, I keep thinking that it's naptime. Our choir sang beautifully, even the songs that we learned three days before performing them in a formal Mass. Talk about nerve wracking! I have some video recordings of the choir, and TONS of pictures, over 800 I believe in total.  This is the majority of one my favorite songs from the many that we sang.

College Graduation

WAHOO!!! Today was the big day, I have finally graduated from college, magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, aka, education 4-8. It was long, boring, and tiresome, but the milestone in my life was totally worth it. Now, on to England for the choirt tour with my church group, yippee!!!

Crocheted Stuff

Here are some other pictures I found of crocheted things. My mentor-teacher during my student teaching has a 4 year old son who loves Lightening McQueen, so for Christmas, I made a stuff Lightening McQueen for her to give to her son. Turned out pretty good for making up my own pattern as I went! Can we say lots of trial and error?

Crocheted Cuties

So, most of you, AKA no one, that read my LJ would never have guessed that I love to crochet. Crocheting, (pronounced "cro-shey"), is similar to knitting, but uses only one "needle" that is actually a hook.

My favorite thing to make with crochet is cute little animals and knick-knacks. I've just finished one such item, a hide-away caterpillar inside an apple. It turned out uber adorable! I'm finishing up a butterfly inside a strawberry right now, and next up is a snail inside a pear.

Aren't they so adorable?!

Nothing in particular...

I finally seem to be getting the hang of making my entries do the things that I want them to do so all the links and stuff look snazzy. Been uber-buzy getting ready for graduation, magna cum laud! WOOT! (not that many anyone actually reads my IJ, or therefore cares...) But I decided I needed a post, so here it is! :)

BIRTHDAY!

Ok, so it was yesterday, BUT, I finally have an iPOD! HURRAY! I'm so excited. I made my dad sit down with me and show me how to use iTunes and everything yesterday evening. Today, I bombarded him with a plethora of questions because I am technologically challenged, and nothing ever works right around me.

Erm, right then. So. Everything (for now) is figured out, and I am tickled purple over my new iPOD-- note "purple" not "pink" because my iPOD is purple. :D

Notepad

So I just realized today that copying and pasting from Microsoft Word to Notepad removes italics.

This really sucks. I had orginally copied my entire story into a Notepad document from Word to avoid all the crazy formatting issues that I have pasting directly from Word into a journal entry.

I have no inclination whatsoever to go in to the last few chapters and edit the parts that should be italics-- the parts where the characters are thinking to themselves-- as the editing option at insanejournal is ONLY in HTML, something that I know nothing about. The italics will be fixed in the remaining chapters, how I'm not exactly sure just yet... Any help would be appreciated!
